Ah, I should probably be concentrating on my work right now but I suppose taking a few minutes to post my first journal isn't too bad of me. Luckily I work from home so I won't have a boss checking over my shoulder or anything, but still I've got a deadline for today that I'm avoiding. I'm trying my very best to stay away from my Wii because then I will get way too distracted to ever finish in time.

Oh right. I don't really have too many friends on here haha (in fact, I have to go find the few I do know), so I should probably explain a little about myself. I'm mostly a freelance writer (on the side, my own book of course, as many do), and a research assistant for a friend. So I'm on a lot of the time but usually I'm trying to focus on work.

I'm in love with all forms of art, really so I guess it's time to get with it and become a deviant, haha. Though I have had warnings about the drama on here, I understand that to a point since many seem to be youngin's. Still, it's a plethora of art, and that's amazing.

I am a complete and utter nerd. I'm a gamer, I love science fiction and fantasy - though I never did play Dungeons and Dragons [I'd rather grab a sword and duke it out with a friend in a real duel] - and I'm always correcting my friends grammar when they speak.. which they hate, but eh, it's programmed into my DNA it seems.

My screen name is supposed to be a play on my name... but I guess it's not as effective if I just tell you. Oh well. Mes Amis is 'my friends' in French. My name is Ami S. ... Get it?

Anyways, I must run to do more work but I'll be lurking, probably. Trying to find things to favorite and people to talk to and friend.
